Q: What was your inspiration behind "Between the Seasons?"
This collection has been one year in waiting, as we navigated between the seasons for CW, as well as our personal life, we couldn't quite figure what was on our next path for CW. We ended up sampling clothes, gym wear, and kid's shoes - nothing seemed to fit for the next stage
When we launched CW officially in Dec 2019, we knew we wanted loafers and heels to be part of CW's collection one day.
The sampling didn't quite work out, until one day we decided to get out of our comfort zone and to expand our craftsman team during the pandemic.
This collection is especially close to my heart, as it consists of designs that I have always wanted in my shoe-drobe, like the Pointed Block Heel Pumps, Loafer-style Mules in Silver, and the Pointed Classic Loafers in Black
Q: What is your favourite thing about"Between the Seasons"
The silver Loafer-style Mules were actually inspired by one of my fav pairs I bought a few years ago, a pair of silver loafers that I spent a few hundred dollars on, but it gave me so many blisters. I haven't touched it ever since and was inspired to create a similar pair but with comfort and support in mind.
Even though the heels and the loafers were the hardest products to make to date for CW, with multiple setbacks, this collection is my favourite.
Q: Which pair makes you feel confident?
It's definitely the Pointed Block-Heel Pumps. I actually wore them when we signed our contract for our first retail store in Singapore.
Q: Which colour is your favourite, and why?
It will have to be Cognac. It took us a long time and sampling with the tanneries to get the right shade of brown that we love. It's a warm caramel colour, that is perfect for any skin type.
Q: What can we expect from this collection?
There are many pairs in this collection that will put a bounce in your step, and provide that little bit of confidence and joy to your everyday outfit. This collection is filled with many power shoes; like block heels, loafers, and mules. We're hoping it brings you your confidence between the seasons, just as it did ours."
