Where the Sole Belongs

This August, Commune Wear is popping up at Takashimaya.

Growing slowly has always been part of who we are. We take each step with care and make choices that feel right. This pop-up is one of those steps.

Takashimaya has long been a place my family and I have wandered through over the years. Seeing our shoes appear in a space that holds so many memories feels special to us.At this pop-up, we’re introducing our latest collection, Where the Sole Belongs.
There are places we’re born into and places we grow into.

For Commune Wear, Singapore became that place. It is not our origin, but it became our turning point. A city that offered stillness when the world shook, a space to rebuild, to begin again, to plant roots and stay grounded. This collection is a tribute to that sense of belonging.
To the everyday comfort of walking familiar streets.
To the soft strength found in stability.
To a home not defined by birthplace, but by choice.Where the Sole Belongs debuts our new Dual Tone Flats, a design that reflects this duality. Much like my own identity, Myanmar by birth and Singaporean at heart, these shoes hold two sides that exist in harmony. They blend structure with softness, contrast with calm, and are made to carry you forward with ease while holding the places that shaped us in every step. You’ll also find a curated selection of new designs and updated classics, pieces shaped by conversations with you and crafted to take you through the everyday with comfort and ease. You’ll find us at:
Takashimaya, Level 2 – Ladies’ Shoes Section
1–14 August | 10:00am to 9:30pm

We’re so grateful to share this moment with you and hope to see you there.

With Love,
May
