There are countless reasons why we chose to call Cluny Court our home in Singapore. Cluny court was a place our co-founders used to visit frequently. This place has a home for so many inspiring stories - it is the book of small businesses and start ups if you will - Here are our team's 10 favourite places around Cluny Court, it was difficult narrowing it down to just 10.
1. CLUNY COURTÂ
We love Cluny Court, the building itself is a sight to behold! Constructed in 1928, these historical shophouses bear witness to our colonial past. It is also conserved by the Urban Redevelopment Authority.
2. SINGAPORE BOTANIC GARDENS

The Singapore Botanic Garden is an escape for all of us before and during this pandemic. It was a place we enjoyed morning walks with our family, picnics, yoga, outdoor concerts and even to attend the occasional proposals. It is also the first UNESCO Heritage site in Singapore, there is no doubt it gets worldwide attention. The National Orchid Garden, boasts the world's largest orchid displays with over 60,000 orchid plants.
3. SIMPLY BREAD

You must must try the sticky buns ($2.50) if you haven't. That is our absolute fave. It's the perfect combination of a sweet and chewy bun, the bread itself is pillowy and fluffy. If you are lucky, it is perfect when it's fresh out of the oven! Our other must-have is a simple breakfast - two toasts with scrambled eggs, it's so simple and great!
4. PLAIN VANILLA BAKERY AT CLUNY COURTÂ
(Pictures from Tripadvisor)Â
We honestly feel that they make the best cupcake in town! The store at cluny court is small and mighty, and the interior of timber facade and terracotta tiles is beautiful. We love how they set up the cosy outdoor seats, perfect to unwind after the stroll in the Botanics with your cupcake and coffee.
5. RELISH BY WILD ROCKETÂ

We only tried Relish at the start of 2020, it's a great space for dining in. There is lots of greenery even in the restaurant itself, our favourite dishes here are the Oyster Omelette Spaghetti made with spicy dried shrimp chilli and Hae Bee Hiam Spaghettini.
6. FAT BELLY SINGAPOREÂ

An alternative steakhouse in Serene Centre, they serve uncommon cuts but still perfectly delicious. Previously a 10 seater speakeasy style restaurant have upgraded to a 52-seater dining space. We have been getting this for takeaway the past few weeks - our pick is the Icon Wagyu MS 4/5 Petit Tender (200g) at $30.
7. MICRO BAKERY & KITCHENÂ

We were gifted many bakes from here during our first month at Cluny Court (thank you friends! 👋🏻). We absolutely love their grilled flat bread ✨ with mushroom, onion marmalade, pecorino with truffle oil! You can also build your own dishes with your favourite ingredients - Build Your Micro Plate! The brownie and banana walnut cake here is something we keep returning back for!
8. ADAM FOOD CENTRE

Always a snaking long queue, even during phase 2 (heightened alert). We have been mostly getting our lunches from here; there are just SO many delicious things to choose from. Even President Joe Biden visited Adam Food Centre in July 2013, on his first official visit to Singapore as Vice President. There are so many great choices - the famous Nasi Lemak, Satay, Mee Rubus, Prawn noodles and Fishball Noodles.
9. THE AFFOGATO BARÂ

Asia's first standalone affogate concept, coffee and espresso - what is there not to love? We are big fans of their bagels too!
10. JUJU

A takeaway cafe concept located at the Bukit Timah Gate of the Singapore Botanic Gardens. We absolutely love the plant based Acai Bowls from here. It's a perfect way to cool down from the Singapore heat.
